Abstract

This study examines the effects of fleet size, number of fishermen, and the Fishermen’s Exchange Rate (NTN) on marine capture fishery production in Indonesia, with fishing households (RTP) and fish consumption rates (AKI) as mediators. Using panel data from 33 provinces (2010–2020) and regression–path analysis, the results show that fleets and fishermen positively affect production, while NTN has a significant negative effect. RTP exhibits a dual mediating role depending on supply chain efficiency, and AKI drives production through demand pressure. These findings highlight the need for integrated fisheries policies that address sustainability, distribution efficiency, and demand dynamics.
